Welcome to the Friends of Baddesley Common
'Friends of Baddesley Common' is an organisation set up by local residents with the consent of the landowners to encourage and enable environmental improvements to Baddesley Common for the benefit of all who wish to lawfully enjoy the site. Baddesley Common is located to the east of Baddesley Ensor, nr. Atherstone, Warwickshire.

Black Path - first stage completed
Thanks to a generous donation of Stockingford stone from TARMAC's Mancetter Quarry, the collection and delivery by Marcus at MAC Contracting, the kind help of local roller operator Steve and Tamworth Buildbase for discounted porous matting - not to mention the 22 volunteers from the village - the first stage of the Black Path from New Street to Keys Hill has been completed. Pond Planning Permission Granted
On 19th March 2012 conditional planning permission was granted by NWBC to Friends of Baddesley Common for the creation of a new village pond on the Common behind the Pit Wheel.

Current Aims
1. To re-establish the Black Path and improve pedestrian access.
2. To restore existing ponds and consider creating a new village pond.
3. To restore heathland and grassland by the selective control and removal of scrub, bramble and bracken whilst maintaining biodiversity across the entire site.
4. To ensure the ongoing stewardship of the Common for future generations.
5. To research and document the history of the site.
